About Us - The Center:

The Competence Centre –Public Infrastructure, Public Services & Local Supply – is:

  • a permanent scientific network of researchers at Austrian universities and research institutions to promote and strengthen transdisciplinary, transformative basic and applied research of various orientations on topics related to the everyday economy.

  • a permanent knowledge network that promotes exchange and cooperation between researchers from various universities and research institutions and representatives of city and municipal administrations, social partners, business associations, and civil society actors involved in the everyday economy.

A point of contact for inquiries regarding application-oriented research, brief expert opinions, research assignments, lectures, consulting, and support for administration, business, politics, and civil society.

The competence center was founded as an association by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emma Dowling, Univ. Prof. DDr. Michael Getzner, Dr. Astrid Krisch, ao. Univ. Prof. Dr. Andreas Novy, Dr. Leonhard Plank, and Mag. Alexandra Strickner, and can be contacted via the Research Area for Public Finance and Infrastructure Policy at TU Wien.
