It has been an eventful year for politjobs: a new website, a growing community, diverse events, and exciting labor market topics. In our 2025 year in review, we look back on the most important highlights.
2025 is coming to an end and we would like to look back on a year full of highlights for politjobs.
First and foremost: the relaunch of our website www.politjobs.de with a new design and fully geared towards making job searches even easier.
At the same time, our community has continued to grow—we now have over 1,000 followers on our WhatsApp channel and over 12,000 on LinkedIn. Feel free to join us if you want to receive the most interesting job offers in real time! We were also active outside of our digital platform.
First, in May, our networking and career day, CHECKPOINT Political Consulting, celebrated its 20th anniversary, and we welcomed more than a hundred talented young politicians to Berlin's Quartier Zukunft, where they had the opportunity to network with renowned political consultants. In the fall, we were guests at the People & Culture Festival for the third time and had the opportunity to talk to numerous visitors at our politjobs booth.
These topics also caught our attention at the end of the year:
Academics on the job market: New data shows that young academics in particular often struggle to find employment. Die Zeit has compiled the background information and where there are still jobs for young professionals despite the crisis (€).
Gender pay gap: Not only are women less likely to receive a Christmas bonus, they also still earn 16% less than men. According to the Federal Statistical Office, this means that the difference has remained unchanged from the previous year.
Indeed Work Wellbeing Report 2025: Today's skilled workers want more than just a good salary – above all, they are looking for meaning, support, and opportunities to develop in their jobs. Indeed presents more insights into the importance of well-being in the workplace.
With this edition of politjobs, we are taking a break for the holidays and winter and wish all our readers a wonderful holiday season, a peaceful and restful time between the years, and a happy new year in 2026! The first newsletter of the new year will be published on January 7.
Until then, you can find the latest job ads as usual on politjobs.de, on WhatsApp, and also on LinkedIn.
This text first appeared as an editorial in the weekly politjobs newsletter. If you would like to receive this newsletter with the latest jobs in politics directly by email every Wednesday, you can subscribe to it here.
