NATO is the world’s most successful security alliance and has guaranteed peace, stability, and security for its member states for over 75 years, based on freedom, democracy, and the rule of law. The German Atlantic Society has made it its mission to deepen understanding of the Atlantic Alliance’s goals and to provide information about NATO’s policies. It advocates for strengthening NATO’s European pillar and fostering close ties with the two North American democracies.

As an independent, nonpartisan organization, we provide a forum for public discourse on Germany’s security situation within the international community through lectures, seminars, and conferences, thereby opening the door to new ideas and perspectives. Join the discussion with us and attend the events in one of our regional chapters. We look forward to your participation.

If you would like to support our work further, we invite you to become a member of our society for a modest annual fee. Nearly 3,000 members already demonstrate that the transatlantic ideal and security policy dialogue are important to you and that it is worthwhile to advocate for transatlantic cooperation.
