Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) – General Secretariat (GS-FDFA)

The General Secretariat of the FDFA (GS-FDFA) supports the Head of the FDFA in his capacity as a member of the Federal Council and as head of the FDFA. In particular, it coordinates departmental and Federal Council affairs, informs the public about the department’s activities, ensures equal opportunity, promotes a positive image of Switzerland abroad through Presence Switzerland (PRS), and handles historical matters related to diplomatic relations. The Treaties, Procurement, and Compliance Division carries out its activities on behalf of the entire FDFA.
