HEKS

HEKS supports development cooperation projects in over 30 countries across four continents to combat poverty and injustice, and is committed to ensuring a life of dignity for all people. At the same time, through its development policy work, HEKS works toward systemic change—both in Switzerland and worldwide.

HEKS provides humanitarian aid worldwide to victims of natural disasters and armed conflicts and supports church-based diaconal work in Eastern Europe and the Middle East. Through its program work in Switzerland, HEKS advocates for the rights and concerns of refugees and socially disadvantaged people.

In its global projects as well as in its awareness-raising efforts on development and social policy issues in Switzerland, HEKS focuses on four key areas: climate justice, the right to land and food, displacement and migration, and integration.
