About us

Founded in 1991, the name of the university has long been synonymous with sound academic education and a committed student body. Prospective students can choose from around 50 degree programs at three departments in Magdeburg and two departments in Stendal.

Around 130 professors guarantee an excellent student-teacher ratio, with approximately 3,650 students in Magdeburg and more than 1,650 in Stendal. Since the 2005/06 winter semester, only bachelor's and master's degree programs have been offered.
