Since 1974, the Swiss human rights organization Incomindios has been advocating for the rights of indigenous peoples worldwide, with a particular focus on North, Central, and South America. Incomindios has held consultative status with the UN (ECOSOC) since 2003.

We work with an active board of directors, staff members, interns, and dedicated volunteers who manage thematic dossiers.

Incomindios calls for the universal observance of human rights, particularly the human rights of Indigenous peoples, which are threatened by resource extraction, land grabbing, multiple forms of discrimination, or by local politics and free trade agreements.

Furthermore, Incomindios supports the local economic structures of Indigenous societies, their culture, as well as the preservation of biodiversity and sustainable, resource-conserving practices.
