About us

nexus designs and facilitates participatory processes: from complex citizen participation projects to multi-stakeholder formats. We shape decision-making processes together with the participants, focusing on transparent communication, active cooperation, and sustainable consensus.

Nexus explores how active citizenship and the participation of different actors can change social development for the benefit of all. To this end, we carry out application-oriented and practical research projects.

nexus advises actors from politics and administration, develops concepts and strategies, and evaluates processes and programs. We optimize civil society infrastructures and services through customized solutions. These are based on comprehensive needs analyses.

nexus works in an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary manner, both locally and nationally as well as internationally, on the topics of democracy and participation, sustainability, regional development, digitalization, and health.
