The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is currently seeking a

Management Assistant (m/f/d)

The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is the only intergovernmental organization with a mandate focused on addressing contemporary challenges related to the Holocaust and the genocide of the Roma. We promote education, remembrance, and research about the past to help build a future free from genocide.

The Role

As our new Management Assistant, you will:

  • Organize the schedules of the Secretary General, the Director of Operations and the Director of Administration, Finance, and Human Resources

  • Schedule and coordinate meetings and appointments

  • Attend to guests and invitees

  • Handle incoming calls

  • Make domestic and international travel arrangements, post-process business trips

  • Manage correspondence

  • Research and compile information

  • Contribute to the general office administration

About You

You bring:

  • Professional training in a relevant field (e.g., public administration, business administration) or equivalent professional experience

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and German (minimum B2 CEFR level for each)

  • Professional and confident demeanor in interactions with senior-level partners and stakeholders

  • Skills in communicating work-related topics to colleagues and external partners

  • Composure under pressure and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with varying deadlines and priorities

  • Familiarity with Office365, particularly for word processing and communication (Outlook)

  • Willingness to undertake occasional business travel

  • A genuine alignment with the IHRA’s vision: "A world that remembers the Holocaust. A world without genocide."

Desirable Assets:

  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint

  • Previous experience in an international working environment

What We Offer

A permanent contract

A 39-hour work week

Annual gross salary between €42,000 and €51,500 (full-time), depending on experience

A motivated and international team

Hybrid working: 2 days remote, 3 days in our Berlin office

Flexible working hours with core hours to be agreed

Full social security in accordance with German regulations (health, care, pension, unemployment)

30 days of paid annual leave

A free “Deutschlandticket” for public transport

An office in central Berlin, easily accessible by public transport
