Our networking and career day, CHECKPOINT Political Consulting, successfully celebrated its 20th anniversary on May 22. More than a hundred talented individuals took advantage of the opportunity to meet with renowned political consultants in person at Berlin's Quartier Zukunft. They received valuable information about entering and changing careers, as well as subsequent career paths in political consulting. Interactive workshops offered the chance to try out being a political consultant, while discussion rounds with junior staff and managers from the participating agencies and consultancies provided deeper insights into the industry. Job cuts are declining: According to the ifo Institute, the German labor market is showing initial signs of stabilization. The ifo Employment Barometer rose to 95.2 points in May 2025. This indicates fewer planned job cuts.
Skills shortage declines: Current figures from KfW show a slight easing of the skills shortage in Germany.
