ADVERB - Agentur für Verbandskommunikation

Focus Areas

Public Affairs

ADVERB is the only communications agency that exclusively advises associations and NGOs. We are passionate about association communications. By advising on, designing, and implementing communications campaigns, social media activities, and corporate designs, we help convince politicians, attract and retain members, and inform the media and the public. Another facet of ADVERB is our service magazine VERBANDSSTRATEGE, with over 3,500 subscribers, which informs the association world about current trends in the industry.

What we do

ADVERB supports associations and NGOs with their internal and external communications. As a communications agency, we design and implement campaigns, manage social media, develop corporate designs, help retain members, and convince politicians and journalists. Our clients include federal and state associations from all over Germany.

The special challenges that arise from the interplay of complex industry issues, full-time and volunteer work, and committee work are exciting challenges for us.

As the leading agency for association communications in the German-speaking world, our goal is to strengthen associations and NGOs in all areas. We are familiar with our clients' target groups and achieve the best results in our core disciplines.

What makes working with us special

Every agency is different. And so there is a special atmosphere at ADVERB. We took the time to compile the most important points to give applicants an insight into the world of ADVERB before their first visit.

1. Passion and team spirit

As soon as you enter the ADVERB offices, you can feel the passion and team spirit among our colleagues. Team spirit here means fostering mutual exchange and engaging in discussions together. We do not have a “dog-eat-dog culture.” Our approach: Only together can we achieve a goal. And together we celebrate our successes. Taking the opinions and advice of colleagues into account is an important part of our corporate culture. This results in a great appreciation for each other's work. Team spirit is also strengthened outside the office, for example on our annual summer outing, when we go ice skating together or have a team lunch in the park.

2. Co-determination and transparency

At ADVERB, everyone develops their own ideas and is happy to take on responsibility – which, in turn, means having a say in business decisions. Open communication and cordial interaction with one another are our top priorities, and we value the input of our colleagues. We utilize resources by encouraging employees to take on tasks that promote the growth and development of the agency. The shaping of the agency is therefore in the hands of everyone. We attach great importance to working on an equal footing rather than being “controlled” from above.

3. Learning from and with each other

Close cooperation and lively exchange between departments are one of the cornerstones of ADVERB's corporate culture. At our biweekly meta-meeting, everyone shares what tasks they have set themselves for the day. This allows everyone to follow the work of the entire team and ensures that upcoming tasks can be distributed efficiently.

4. Development and training opportunities

ADVERB provides each team member with an individual budget for further training, as long-term loyalty to ADVERB and growing and developing together are of existential value to us. In addition, there are numerous seminars and training courses on offer, as well as career coaching by an external consultant. Thanks to these training opportunities, we also offer career changers the chance to shape the world of association communication with us. In the medium term, it is possible to aim for a management position in the agency.

5. Political content and networking

We work closely with associations and other organizations, which means we are always in direct contact with political actors. Staying up to date with political content and current events within the association world is essential in order to be able to offer our clients targeted advice and convince them with our content. In addition, our employees have the opportunity to build their own stage and network in the association scene throughout Germany at a wide variety of event formats in their daily business.

6. Central location and excellent transport connections

Our office is located in the vibrant heart of Berlin, on the famous Reinhardtstraße. Due to its close proximity to the Bundestag, the Federal Press Conference, party headquarters, and other political institutions, Reinhardtstraße has established itself as a prestigious office address. The central location offers excellent transport links. There are numerous cafés, restaurants, and shopping facilities in the immediate vicinity.

7. Bright and open interior design

The open, new, and bright office spaces offer the perfect environment for close collaboration among colleagues. Our stylish library and large conference room provide places to retreat, opportunities for meetings, and space for creativity.

8. Perks for the office and leisure time

While almost every agency offers fresh fruit and coffee, we also provide ice cream in the summer and hot elderberry drinks in the winter months. The BVG job ticket makes for a pleasant commute, and on top of that, the Spotify Premium subscription ensures an entertaining ride. All permanent employees benefit from our cooperation with AccorHotels (Sofitel, Novotel, Mercure, Ibis, etc.) – so working for ADVERB pays off even when you're on vacation around the world.
