Asylorganisation Zürich (AOZ)

The Asylorganisation Zürich (AOZ) is an independent public institution of the City of Zurich and one of Switzerland's leading specialist organizations in the field of migration and integration. Since its foundation in 1992, the AOZ, with over 2,000 employees, has been performing a wide range of tasks in social welfare and integration support for asylum seekers, recognized refugees, and other immigrants on behalf of the federal government, cantons, and municipalities.

Activities

The organization divides its activities into four core areas: education and work integration, promotion of social integration, knowledge transfer and consulting, and social assistance, support, and accommodation. AOZ is particularly well known for its innovative support work in federal asylum centers, where it has been setting new standards in asylum support since 2013. As an experienced partner to various Swiss municipalities and cantons, the organization focuses on promoting independent and self-reliant living for its clients.
