Independent, non-partisan, and full of energy: join us in bringing new politicians to parliament.

Brand New Bundestag (BNB) is an independent, non-partisan grassroots organization founded in 2019 that advocates for forward-thinking politics.

Our goal:

Parliaments that represent all parts of our society and progressive politics that work together with civil society to find bold solutions to the most pressing problems of our time.

To this end, we support people, especially those who have been underrepresented in politics, on their path to political office. In addition, we build bridges between civil society and politics so that the voices of movements are finally given greater weight in political decision-making.

Together with hundreds of volunteers, we successfully supported 23 candidates in their bid to enter the Bundestag in the 2025 federal elections and helped 12 other progressive minds on their way to various state parliaments. But that's just the beginning!

Our vision

We are fighting for a society in which people work together courageously to shape their future. For a society that includes everyone. We are fighting for the right to equal opportunities and individual participation. For a society that reflects on its own actions and is aware of its global significance. We are fighting for a European society that protects diverse identities and is open to everyone. For a European policy that understands sustainability in all areas as a maxim for action. That promotes a just world on an equal footing with other regions and constantly redefines it.

Our team

We are a growing group of committed individuals who want a more just democracy and genuine political change. Together, we want to become a movement in which thousands of people are committed to and engaged in a common vision – throughout Germany.

Brand New Bundestag was initiated in 2019 by Eva-Maria Thurnhofer, Maximilian Oehl, and Daniel Veldhoen. And our team is growing every day. The task: to provide a platform for political engagement, mobilize volunteers, forge alliances, and secure funding. We are organized as a cooperative, politically independent, and solely committed to the mission of making politics sustainable.

Our demands

Politics for society at large – for you and me! We demand that politics be made again for those for whom it is intended: for you and me. For all of us. We strive for a society that is democratic and inclusive, that thinks sustainably and takes action both locally and globally.

Our demands are:
