The Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA) is the European trade association accelerating the commercial deployment of Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS). With offices in London and Brussels, we work with members, governments and other organisations to ensure CCUS is developed and deployed at the pace and scale necessary to meet net zero goals and deliver sustainable growth across regions and nations.
Our vision recognises the ultimate goal of progressing CCUS, which is to see its widespread deployment to combat climate change and achieve the Paris Agreement goal of achieving a “climate neutral world by mid-century”.
Our mission focuses on the unique contribution the CCSA is making towards achieving the vision, as the only representative of the whole CCUS value chain active in the UK and EU policy debate. Our focus will continue to be primarily policy and public advocacy, alongside enabling member and stakeholder collaboration on implementation.
We produce research, publications, member briefings and important updates – many of which are for members only. We organise over 40+ events a year for members to network and share the latest developments in the industry.
We have more than 20 working groups and forums, where we collaborate with members to ensure that robust regulations, clear policies and technical standards are developed for the CCUS industry. We advocate for our members when we engage with governments and EU institutions.
