D64 – Zentrum für Digitalen Fortschritt

D64 is the center for digital progress. We see digital transformation as a great opportunity to improve how we live together. We want to help shape social, ecological, technological, and political development in a constructive, critical, and creative way.

Our strength lies in our members, who come from a wide range of disciplines and bring together diverse expertise. Our work is organized into twelve working groups focusing on areas such as sustainability, education, platforms, and open source. In our work and the structure of our association, our independence is important to us, whether politically or from economic interests. With over 700 members, we are the largest digital policy association in the DACH region – and D64 has the potential for more: we want to become the strongest voice of civil society in Germany and at the EU level, fighting for progressive digital policy based on the fundamental values of freedom, justice, and solidarity.
