Mission

Understand, Connect, Amplify

The Initiative for a Climate-Neutral Germany (IKND) fosters debates aimed at shaping a modern and climate-neutral future for our country. We promote constructive dialogue for an ambitious climate protection policy, bring relevant stakeholders together, and draw attention to their messages.

The IKND supports others in advocating for climate protection and modernization and in getting their messages across. We highlight the opportunities presented by a climate-neutral Germany and provide information based on scientifically recognized facts:

Understanding: Trust is built through understanding. We present knowledge in an easily understandable way and aim to help others contribute their problem-solving skills toward a climate-neutral future.

Networking: We bring together socially relevant stakeholders across sectors and industries to discuss climate policy issues and foster mutual understanding of their challenges and opportunities for development on their path toward a climate-neutral future.

Empowering: We accelerate climate protection debates and contribute to collaborative and constructive solutions. To this end, we identify opportunities for communication and support trust-based dialogue between business, civil society, academia, politics, and the media at the right time and in the right place.
