Brandenburg Participates!

Operated by the Paritätische Agentur für das Recht auf Teilhabe – PART gGmbH, the Brandenburg Center of Competence for Child and Youth Participation (KiJuBB)—whose origins date back to 2002—provides consulting services throughout Brandenburg on issues related to child and youth participation. The Competence Center is the State of Brandenburg’s specialized agency for child and youth participation pursuant to Section 11(6) of the Brandenburg Child and Youth Act (BbgKJG)

In addition to municipalities, counties, organizations, and institutions, young people themselves are the most important target group of this work. KiJuBB supports Brandenburg’s children’s and youth committees (children’s and youth advisory boards, children’s and youth parliaments, youth forums) and their facilitators in exercising their rights to participation and involvement. In addition, KiJuBB supports, connects, and trains children’s and youth commissioners and educational professionals.

The four divisions of the Competence Center are the Department of Children’s and Youth Participation (“municipal”), the Department of Participation in Educational Assistance (HzE), the Division of Children’s and Youth Committees, and the Youth Forum on Sustainability (JuFoNa).
