About us

Former German Chancellor Ludwig Erhard founded the foundation in 1967 and tasked it with promoting liberal principles in politics and economics and strengthening the social market economy in line with his vision. The aim is to establish a liberal order that safeguards humane living conditions. The Ludwig Erhard Foundation is a non-profit organization. It is independent of political parties and associations.
