The Social Responsibility Network (NeSoVe) is a platform of NGOs and employee representatives campaigning for an effective supply chain law.
NeSoVe aims to establish binding rules for companies. NeSoVe recognises a contradiction between the achievements claimed by companies and the reality of corporate human rights accountability, which is, in practice, rather unimpressive, and criticises both the lack of ambition and the voluntary nature of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approaches. NeSoVe therefore calls for the implementation of legally binding social, environmental and human rights responsibilities for corporate conduct. To this end, NeSoVe has been bringing together NGOs and employee representatives since 2006.
