The SPD party executive committee coordinates all party work in cooperation with the party branches throughout Germany and sees itself as a service center for full-time and volunteer party members.

The SPD party executive committee is the highest body of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD). It consists of the party chairman, the deputy chairmen, the secretary general, the treasurer, and other members.

The party executive committee makes important decisions on the political orientation and strategic planning of the party. It develops political programs, organizes party conferences, and coordinates work at various levels. The party executive committee represents the SPD internally and externally and plays an important role in implementing social democratic ideas in German politics.
