About us

SwissCommunity supports Swiss citizens in their cross-border mobility and promotes exchange between the country and its diaspora. It is aimed in particular at young Swiss citizens living abroad.

The Organization of the Swiss Abroad has represented the interests of Swiss citizens living abroad in Switzerland since 1916 and is recognized by the authorities as the voice of the Fifth Switzerland. We see ourselves as a center of expertise for all questions relating to the international mobility of Swiss citizens and for advice on legal, social security, and educational issues. Every year, the international mobility of Swiss citizens increases and the number of Swiss citizens living abroad grows.

SwissCommunity also acts as a link between Swiss citizens living abroad and their homeland. We keep our compatriots abroad informed about events in Switzerland and offer them a wide range of services. These include the annual Swiss Abroad Congress and summer and winter camps for young Swiss citizens living abroad.
