Teach For Austria is an independent non-profit organization that has established an effective social leadership program and is working to achieve greater educational equity in Austria through a strong network of public and private partners. TFA sees itself as a bridge builder between the education system and society at large.
Founded in 2012 by Walter Emberger, TFA is now the largest private institution in the Austrian education system. More than 500 TFA Fellows have worked as teachers in schools and kindergartens with a high proportion of socially disadvantaged children. Through its social leadership program and various cooperation projects, the TFA network has reached over 50,000 children. Our effectiveness has been proven by numerous studies and recognized with awards.
Teach For Austria is part of the global network Teach For All, which consists of non-profit organizations working in numerous countries around the world with different social structures and education systems. They all share the same goal: to give socio-economically disadvantaged children the opportunity to receive a high-quality education so that they can lead self-determined and fulfilling lives.
