About us

The Verband öffentlicher Versicherer (VöV) e. V. is a modern service partner for insurance companies belonging to the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. In the VöV, public insurers—the second largest group in the German insurance market—pool their resources across companies. The association is in demand for its expertise and services: for example, as a trend and market analyst, a forum for knowledge transfer, joint decision-making, or a dialogue leader with national and European politicians and other associations and organizations.

We are committed to the common good

Social considerations were already at the heart of the public insurers' founding principles. To this day, public insurers remain particularly committed to the common good: focusing on their region also means taking responsibility for the people in that region. Public insurers therefore invest in the safety of the population at the local level and work closely with fire departments, the police, and traffic safety centers. And they are committed to social and cultural welfare. All this with more than 20 million euros annually. As a group, public insurers also work on supraregional projects.
