About us

The Association of Swiss Electricity Companies (VSE) is the platform for representing and promoting the interests of the Swiss electricity industry. We are committed to reliable national and international framework conditions, a positive image of electricity, and a secure, market-driven, competitive, sustainable, and innovative electricity supply.

Association

The VSE is the nationally and internationally recognized umbrella organization for the Swiss electricity industry, founded in 1895. It coordinates and pools the common interests and competencies of its members and represents them in politics, business, and society. In doing so, it ensures reliable framework conditions for a secure, market-driven, competitive, and sustainable electricity supply in Switzerland. Its more than 400 members are active across the entire value chain (producers, distribution network operators, multi-utility companies) and produce over 90% of Switzerland's electricity.
