About the position 

To build excellence in health management the EHMA – European Health Management Association leads initiatives including research projects, working groups, policy and communication campaigns, and events. We are organised in three departments: projects, policy, and operations. The Senior Management and the Management teams provide leadership and support to all departments.

The successful candidate will lead the communications and dissemination efforts of EHMA’s portfolio of EU-funded projects. They will develop and deliver on projects communication strategies, compelling content, and informative metrics. They will drive engagement to disseminate projects activities and results, strengthening knowledge, understanding and engagement of health management across Europe.

The Communications Manager (EU projects) will work in close collaboration with the Projects and Policy Teams to ensure our communications and dissemination campaigns are appealing and engaging for our audiences.

The Communications Manager will report to the Director of Projects, and manage the Communications Officer and the Policy and Communications Officer.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Design, implement and continuously monitor the EHMA projects’ communications strategies, including dissemination targets, identification of audiences, social media, and the development of compelling content.
  • Lead and execute dissemination and communication activities in line with Work Packages requirements, including building and maintaining websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and publications.
  • Manage relationships with all subcontractors necessary for the delivery of the projects.
  • Produce communications campaigns and initiatives that drive membership and partnership engagement to projects and ensure an effective projects results dissemination.
  • Produce timely reports on metrics and outcomes of various campaigns and activities for the purposes of internal reporting and external reporting: media outreach, new campaigns, social media engagement, events, etc.

Profile

  • You have outstanding written and oral communication skills (English), and have proven experience in graphic design.
  • You have excellent knowledge of social media, CMS platforms for website management, and newsletter clients.
  • You can demonstrate outstanding organisational skills; priority setting; and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously to meet different deadlines.
  • You are proficient in using Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, other virtual collaboration tools, and graphic design tools.
  • You have very good interpersonal skills and are a solution-focused team player. You have experience working in a small, busy, international team.
  • You are willing to travel within Europe when required.

Job package and eligibility

This position is offered according to Belgian national legislation. It is an offer for a full-time position of 38 hours per week with an open-end contract.

For this position, the monthly gross salary ranges between €3,200 and €3,800 depending on experience and qualifications, and will also include benefits such as meal vouchers, financial support towards the use of public transport to work, and complementary pension insurance. The post will combine in-office and remote work, as well as occasional travel. The successful candidate will be supplied with necessary materials to work remotely, as required (e.g., laptop).
