Policy Officer – Sustainable Businesses (m/f/d)

Euratex is currently looking for a Policy Officer – Sustainable Businesses (m/f/d)

Main tasks:

• Participate in projects and initiatives to implement sustainability policies;
• Developing and coordinating the industry position on key sustainability topics (e.g. circular economy, due diligence, traceability), including preparation of briefings, position papers and communication;
• Monitoring the development of EU sustainability policies, assess the relevance for the industry; liaising with EU institutions and other relevant stakeholders;
• Communicating with EURATEX Members in the relevant sustainability areas;
• Support the department Director in performing his duties.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in EU policy making;
• Strong interest in areas of sustainability and circular economy;
• Knowledge of the textiles and clothing sector will be considered an asset;
• Fluent in English; other European languages an asset;
• Master degree in economics, law, political science, or equivalent through experience;
• Strong communication skills, sense of diplomacy, positive inter-personal skills, team player.

The successful candidate will report to the Director for Sustainable Businesses and join a small team of 3 staff. Ideally, the position is to be filled as soon as possible.
