The Hans-Dietrich-Genscher-Haus is the federal office and operational heart of the FDP. It works in close coordination with the party's political leadership. In constant communication with agencies and service providers, the federal office develops and organizes election campaigns, supplies the party with advertising materials, supports candidates and local branches with information, and is responsible for the central administrative and communication tasks of a modern federal party. In addition to administrative tasks, its daily business includes press relations, communication on social networks, the development of political content, and responding to citizens' inquiries.
The HDGH also regularly organizes central events such as committee meetings, press events, federal party conferences, and conferences, and is the point of contact for all subdivisions, members, and interested parties of the Free Democrats.
