Our goals and tasks

The IEP is a non-profit, non-partisan organisation concerned with European integration. Situated in Berlin, it is one of the leading foreign and European policy research institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany.

We work nationally and transnationally at the interface of science, politics, administration and political education. Our task is to scientifically investigate topics of European politics and integration in order to then promote the practical application of the research results.

The IEP offers a citizen-oriented, European and interdisciplinary forum as well as a platform for European policy debates among experts.

Become part of the IEP network

As a Friend of the IEP you are a member of a large network of European decision-makers at the interface of science, politics, administration and political education. Your membership fee supports continuous research on key issues of German European policy, deepening and widening, neighbourhood policy and the role of the EU in the world. The minimum annual fee is 100,- Euro. We look forward to receiving your membership application at: info@iep-berlin.de

Our networks

The Institut für Europäische Politiks is a founding member of the Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) based in Brussels and has been a member of the European Movement Germany (EBD) since 1962. The IEP's quarterly journal integration is published in cooperation with the German section of ECSA, the Arbeitskreis Europäische Integration (AEI). The IEP is a scientific partner of Europa-Union Deutschland, the largest citizens' initiative for Europe in Germany, and of the house parliaments of Pulse of Europe.
