My name is Matthias Ecke and since October 3, 2022, I have been your SPD Member of the European Parliament for Saxony.
After reunification, I was able to experience a united Europe from childhood onwards. Now I see it as our generation's duty to protect and improve this Europe against attacks from within and without.
I have my roots in Saxony and have a clear view of the special interests of eastern Germany in European politics.
I am fighting for a social and strong Europe that preserves freedom and solidarity internally and fights for these values in the world.
