ZARA – Civil Courage and Anti-Racism Work was founded in 1999 with the aim of promoting civil courage and a more racism-free society in Austria, as well as combating all forms of racism. ZARA's work is based on three pillars: counselling, public relations and prevention work.
The ZARA team is made up of people with different perspectives and expertise. Our goal is to help shape a society that critically questions exclusion based on who people are and thus counters racism and hatred on the internet.
We advocate for the equal rights of all people – regardless of ethnic and social affiliation, skin colour, gender, language, religion, sexual orientation, age or disability.
