We are seeking a Junior Projects and Communications Officer to strengthen our general and project communication, including digital engagement, and member relations activities. You will support the Senior Campaigns and Engagements lead and Project Manager in ensuring that Adra’s general and project outreach is dynamic, visible, and impactful, with an active involvement of the membership.
The vision of the European Partnership on AI, Data and Robotics (ADRA) is to boost European competitiveness, societal well-being, and environmental standards to lead the world in researching, developing, and deploying value-driven trustworthy ADR technologies.
Adra constitutes the contractual private counterpart to the European Commission for the implementation of the ADR co-programmed partnership under Horizon Europe.
ADRA has a small but growing secretariat located in Brussels, and is seeking a talented new team member to contribute to our development.
Under the supervision of the Senior Campaigns and Engagements Lead and Project Manager, the Junior Projects and Communications Officer will support the following:
Assist in developing and implementing communication plans for key projects and campaigns.
Coordinate internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Draft press releases, project updates, case studies, and newsletters.
Support stakeholder engagement through clear, timely updates and briefings.
Track project communication deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met and reports are accurate.
Draft, edit, and schedule targeted content to promote Adra activities, publications, projects and events on Adra’s website, newsletters, and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter/X).
Work with design teams to format reports, presentations, high-quality multimedia content and marketing materials in line with Adra’s brand.
Seek contributions to monthly newsletters, blogs and press releases, using marketing campaign tools such as Mailchimp.
Maintain and update the Adra website and related project websites, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and aligned with campaign priorities.
Monitor basic analytics and user interaction to improve digital experience and reach.
Support the planning, coordination, and promotion of webinars, workshops, and physical or hybrid events.
Prepare event communication assets and help manage registration, invitations, and follow-up.
Support technical hosting of virtual events (via Zoom, Teams), including moderation and speaker coordination.
Degree in communications, marketing, digital media, graphic design, or a related field.
1–3 years of relevant experience in communications, member engagement, or digital marketing (internships considered).
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English (working language); knowledge of other EU languages is an asset.
Proficiency in:
Design tools: Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
CMS: Drupal/WordPress or similar.
Email marketing: Mailchimp or similar.
Social media: LinkedIn, Twitter/X.
Event tools: Zoom, Teams, Eventbrite.
Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe project experience.
Experience managing digital marketing campaigns and project communications.
Familiarity with CRM or membership databases.
Direct involvement and experience working in European funded projects.
Proactive and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit.
Creative, adaptable, and eager to learn.
Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently.

Type of contract: 2-year contract.
Salary scale between 2500-3000 EUR gross depending on experience and qualifications of candidate.
