Project and Policy Manager

Overview of the role

The Project and Policy Manager will work on a range of projects and policy activities related to resilience and culture.

Specifically, the colleague’s role will focus on:

Additionally, the successful candidate will support ERRIN’s policy activities related to emerging topics such as competitiveness, resilience and preparedness.

Responsibilities

Project management and implementation

  • Mobilise cities and regions to work on their climate adaptation pathways in the frame of the Pathways2Resilience project

  • Mobilise the RESIST’s Communities of Practice and Interest and foster collaboration and knowledge exchange with other projects and initiatives

  • Actively contribute to the project implementation, develop project deliverables, contribute to the project reporting and participate in consortium and other project meetings

  • Contribute to the implementation of other projects in ERRIN’s portfolio under the Culture and Creativity cluster and/or related to resilience and preparedness

Project and policy interface

  • Support ERRIN's policy work, while creating links to relevant ERRIN project tasks and activities

  • Contribute to ERRIN’s internal project development process to advance ERRIN's impact in the network’s key priority areas

  • Work closely with ERRIN’s policy team and the wider membership to develop activities on the latest policy developments related to competitiveness, resilience and preparedness

Working groups

  • Facilitate one of the Working Groups under the Culture and Creativity Cluster

  • Support the above-mentioned Working Group by contributing to defining its priorities, developing an annual work plan of activities and organisation of meetings

  • Stay up to date with key processes and initiatives run by the European Commission related to culture and creativity and climate change resilience and make sure they are embedded into the annual work plans of the relevant Working Groups

  • Foster synergies and collaboration beyond the ERRIN clusters (Culture and Creativity, Natural Resources and Adaptation), working at the intersection of various policy areas including climate resilience, preparedness and culture.

Requirements

  • Relevant university degree

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience managing EU projects at the intersection of climate resilience and culture

  • Good understanding of recent European research and innovation policy developments and the related funding, in particular Horizon Europe

  • Strong motivation to explore new topics and contribute to further shaping the network’s activities in line with the latest EU policy developments

  • Experience working at local and/or regional level and coordinating multiple stakeholders

  • Full professional proficiency in English

  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and team attitude

  • Ability to efficiently set and handle multiple deadlines and priorities

Conditions

  • We offer a permanent contract with a competitive monthly gross salary between €3400 and €3800 depending on experience.

  • Other benefits include 13th month, hospitalisation and healthcare insurance, meal vouchers, ecocheques and transport pass for Brussels.

  • The average weekly working time at ERRIN is set at 40h/week with a reduction in working time (RTT – one day off per month on top of annual leave).

  • ERRIN promotes a healthy work-life balance and offers a flexible office/homeworking schedule.

  • The candidate is expected to start as soon as possible and should be based in Brussels or willing to relocate at the start of their contract.
