The ideal candidate is a service-oriented individual who proactively contributes to the delivery of Connect Europe’s policy activities in the field of tech and telecoms, with at least 10 years of relevant experience. The new recruit will become a pillar of our policy and regulatory work, including leading Working Group activities and becoming a reference point on a range of policy matters for the EU telecoms community, as well as a valued senior team member
Policy & Regulatory work: become the go-to person for a range of regulatory and policy matters related to telecoms, be able to initiate policy drafting and to execute and guide the consolidation of papers and positions as needed. Be flexible to pick up different and additional policy topics if required.
Membership & Working Groups: Help steer the relevant Working Groups, work hand-in-hand with WG Chairs to drive WG activities and define ambitious policy agendas; over time, become the reference point of the EU telecoms community for the policy areas you lead.
Networking: be a recognisable player in the telecoms community for all the policies of competence, develop a relevant network among fellow professionals as well as among institutional actors.
Organizational: over time, be interested to develop organisational skills such as contributing to the growth of the association and its role in the connectivity ecosystem, as well as its ability to cover policy areas and evolve its business model.
Necessary skills: you have established experience in policy and regulation, with preference for direct knowledge of tech and/or telecom matters – to be considered a strong, differentiating asset.
Experience: at least 10 years.
Languages: full English proficiency in speaking and writing is a must; very good knowledge of other EU languages an asset.
