European Blood Alliance

Sharing a goal ‘to contribute to the safety and security of the blood supply for the citizens of Europe by developing and maintaining an efficient network of European blood services’, the European Blood Alliance (EBA) was founded on September 21st 1998 by 9 members: Belgium, England, Finland, France, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Scotland. Building on this foundation, EBA now has 32 members across the EU, EFTA, and the UK. EBA supports its members to act as a collaborative force, working together in the interests of donors and patients to maintain and improve the availability, quality, resilience, safety, and cost-effectiveness of the blood supply in Europe.
