CorrelAid

We bring data to civil society! CorrelAid helps non-profits use data critically and reflectively for their goals and enables volunteers to engage effectively in the field of Data4Good. In addition, we are committed to the participation of marginalized groups within data science.

To achieve these goals, our work is based on three pillars:

• Using data: We enable data scientists to use their abilities and skills for the common good. We help social organizations strengthen their impact on society and develop further by carrying out pro bono Data4Good projects and providing advice on data.

• Education: At CorrelAid, we are not only committed to using data for good causes, but also firmly believe that we should share our knowledge. It is not without reason that we have chosen education as the purpose of our association. That is why we offer numerous training formats for non-profits and volunteers. In addition, we share our knowledge, our code, and our materials publicly.

• Community: Our community is the foundation of our work. We bring together data analysts from different disciplines and with varying levels of experience. We organize ourselves both online and locally through our CorrelAidX local groups. Our networking is diverse and extends beyond the boundaries of the CorrelAid universe: Everyone is welcome to support our mission of promoting the value and benefits of data and data analysis for the common good.
