The International Hydropower Association (IHA) is a non-profit membership association. We are the global voice for sustainable hydropower.
We represent organisations committed to the responsible and sustainable development and operation of hydropower.
Operating in over 120 countries, our members include leading hydropower owners and operators, developers, designers, suppliers and consultants.
Around a third (450 GW) of global installed hydropower capacity is directly managed and operated by our membership.
It is IHA policy to avoid anti-competitive activity either by its members or by others. Read the full statement here.
Our members share a common purpose: to build a world where the world’s energy and water needs are supported by sustainable hydropower. Learn about our mission.
IHA provides a platform for a community of leading companies and other organisations committed to deliver sustainable hydropower.
This is a community built around a common set of values and principles. Read the membership values.
Our work programmes and membership services are supported by IHA Central Office, based in London, UK. IHA also have a national office in China and regional offices in Africa, Central Asia and North and South America.
The team works closely with members, partner organisations, international working groups and networks to deliver on strategic priorities set by the IHA Board.
