Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften

The Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (MPG) is a self-governing scientific organisation funded by the German federal and state governments. It currently conducts basic research in the natural sciences and humanities at 84 institutes and research centres in Germany and abroad, making it one of the world's leading research institutions with numerous Nobel Prize winners among its ranks.
