For over 100 years, the Pro Juventute Foundation has been working to empower children, adolescents, and their families in Switzerland and Liechtenstein and to ensure they receive prompt support in emergencies. Its work is largely funded by donations.
Pro Juventute advocates for the needs and the realization of the rights of children, adolescents, young adults, parents, and families in Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The foundation was established in 1912. It is politically, ideologically, and religiously independent, as well as ZEWO-certified. In addition to its headquarters in Zurich, Pro Juventute operates five regional offices throughout Switzerland and runs the Hotel Chesa Spuondas in the Engadin.
Through a wide range of services, the foundation provides direct and effective assistance. Pro Juventute fosters key skills so that children and adolescents can effectively cope with difficult situations and changes. At the same time, the foundation supports parents and caregivers so they can best guide their children through their development. In difficult situations, children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents receive round-the-clock assistance.
Pro Juventute is politically and socially committed to the concerns and needs of its target groups and promotes the participation of children and adolescents. These services are made possible only through donations from private individuals, foundations, and companies, as well as public funding.
