The International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies (AIM) is looking for a

Project Manager

The International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies (AIM) is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join its Brussels-based Secretariat. This is a key role within our international team, dedicated to shaping progressive healthcare and social protection policies globally.

Who are we?

AIM represents mutual benefit societies as well as statutory and complementary health insurance funds based on solidarity, not for profit and democracy across Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East. We advocate for universal access to healthcare without inequalities and promote solidarity-based, not-for-profit health systems at European and international level.

  • Strategic advocacy towards European and international institutions (EU, WHO, ILO, OECD);

  • Promoting fair medicine prices as well as access, affordability and availability of medicines;

  • Fostering international cooperation to achieve Universal Health Coverage;

  • Serving as a platform for our members to exchange knowledge and pioneering practices.

Your role

As a member of our team, the Project Manager will:

  • Coordination and oversight of multiple policy and advocacy projects in healthcare and pharmaceuticals;

  • Expertly prepare and facilitate AIM working groups, meetings, and events;

  • Monitor and analyse relevant European and international policy developments;

  • Contribute substantively to the drafting of position papers and strategic advocacy campaigns;

  • Collaborate closely with AIM members across Europe and Latin America to foster impactful knowledge exchange.

Profile

Our ideal candidate has:

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in European health/pharmaceutical policy, advocacy, or project coordination;

  • Ability to work effectively in an international, multicultural environment;

  • Strong organisational prowess and outstanding communication skills;

  • A collaborative and a diplomatic approach;

  • Mandatory fluency in both English and Spanish (excellent written and spoken);

  • Proficiency in other European languages is a strong asset;

  • Experience with communication tools (website management, Canva, Adobe InDesign) and social media are an asset.

What we offer

  • A dynamic, work environment within a compact, international team;

  • A varied and high-responsibility role, offering autonomy while working in close coordination with the Executive Director and colleagues;

  • A balanced benefits package including teleworking flexibility (2 days per week) and an attractive salary.

How to apply

Please submit your CV and motivation letter by 20 February to secretariat@aim-mutual.org

Attn: Sibylle Reichert, Executive Director. For any questions regarding this position, please do not hesitate to contact us at the email address above.
